“The Ultimate Fighter 10” will not show up this week for Thanksgiving. This show, however, will return next week and there will be a two hour special season ending episode. The show will be broadcasted on Spike TV in its normal timeslot of Wednesday 10 p.m. ET/PT. This December 2nd episode of “TUF” will feature four fights in total; there will be two quarter finals and the two semi-final match-ups. Marcus Jones and Darrill Schoonover will compete in one of the quarter finals and the other will feature Matt Mitrione and James McSweeney. The winners of these two matches will meet Brendan Schaub and Roy Nelson in the semi-finals.

The Ultimate Fighter 10 started in the mid of September this year with a lot of initial buzz. UFC President Dana White was of the opinion that since its debut in 2005, “TUF 10” is the best ever season in this reality series of UFC. The cast was highly appreciated for its diversity as it included four NFL veterans, three former UFC fighters, IFL Heavyweight Champion Nelson and last but not the least, the former EliteXC headliner Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson.

The initial rating of the show was quite encouraging but it gradually dipped down. At one point, the episodes reached to the pick with 7.5 million viewers; but now it dropped down to 2.4 – 2.8 million in last few weeks. The concept, however, was a unique one and it certainly gave UFC a good boast. But the authorities must bring new ideas to keep the show going in the coming years as well.
