With plans to return to action in April, Bellator Fighting Championship is drawing a lot of attention from the fans with their recent signings for the second season of their popular promotion. They declared yet another significant signing yesterday when the authorities of the promotion announced that Bao Quach will now compete in the promotion’s season two featherweight tournament. The Strikeforce, Shooto, Affliction and King of the Cage veteran is a popular name in the world of Mixed Martial Arts and his presence in the featherweight division along with Pitbull Freire, Georgi Karakhanyan and William Romero, is sure to add some extra excitement.
Quach is currently enjoying a great run with 11 wins in last 12 matches. The only loss came in a matchup against L.C. Davis on January 2009 at “Affliction: Day of Reckoning” where he lost the match via unanimous decision. Quach has recently developed enormously as a performer and is considered as a lethal fighter with world-class striking abilities. Quach was born in Vietnam and now lives in California. In the early years of his career, he got the opportunity to fight against great talents like Rich Crunkilton, Cole Escovedo, Jeff Curran, Hatsu Hioki, Wagnney Fabiano, and Rumina Sato. Here in Bellator, if Quach wins the tournament, he will earn a match against the current Bellator Featherweight champion Joe Sato.
