The EA Sports officials have announced recently that Hidehiko Yoshida, a former Olympic gold medalist in judo and Shinya Aoki, the DREAM Lightweight Champion will be featured in the company’s first ever mixed martial arts title.

These two Japanese fighters have now joined the official roaster that also includes renowned performers like Robbie Lawler, Cung Le, Gilbert Melendez, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, Matt Lindland, Josh Thomson, Scott Smith, Brett Rogers, Nick Thompson, Jake Shields, Fedor Emelianenko, Frank Shamrock, Randy Couture, Gegard Mousasi, Renato “Babalu” Sobral, Jason “Mayhem” Miller, Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal and Jay Hieron. Several other fighters have also stated their association with the game but that is yet to be announced by EA authorities. The UFC backed THQ release “UFC Undisputed” with its 2009 version is considered to be the toughest competition that EA has to overcome. That game is already released and awarded as the best sports title at the VGA Awards 2009. The EA Sports version, on the other hand, is expected be released in late summer 2010 and will be available only on PS3 and XBOX 360 platforms.
