Antonio Rodrigo “Big Nog” Nogueira has revealed he’ll be returning to Brazil to have surgery on both his hips carried out and not have it performed California where he currently lives.

Speaking via his Twitter page, Big Nog said:

“I’ll do my surgeries Wednesday. Let’s heal this injury and get back at our best”. I’ll go to Vitória da Conquista this weekend. I’ll meet my father, take some time off to be with him and all my family and go to my brother’s birthday party. Hold it, man, I’m getting there.”

Nogueira was set to rematch Frank Mir at UFC 119 on September 25th in Indianapolis, Indiana, the first man to ever stop the legendary Brazilian in his MMA career. He has been replaced by Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic in the headline bout.
