Dana White Confirms an UFC Show in Boston

It’s a homecoming for Dana White. The UFC president recently confirmed that UFC will certainly debut at the Beantown in the upcoming 2010 summer and the former Bostonian looked very happy to announce his return as he was found saying,” I’m so excited for it.”
White has always expressed his deep desire to host a UFC show at Boston. But the organization had to keep Boston off their calendar due to the lack of official regulation. But luckily for Dana and the UFC fans at Boston, the situation has changed now. The legislation is now guaranteed and the organization now is planning to enter Boston with a brilliant summer show. But Dana White told in a recent interview that it is too early to determine any specific date for the show right now.
Dana White’s first choice among the different venues was the Fenway Park. This legendary venue is the home to MLB’s Boston Red Sox. The stadium can host 37,000 spectators in a basketball game. But the number is sure to fluctuate as the seating configuration will change for an MMA event. Another probable venue is The Boston Garden which is home to NHL’s Boston Bruins and NBA’s Boston Celtics. But its capacity is a mere 19,000. Dana said it will be either one of them. But the fans need to wait until UFC declares a show in Boston officially.
