Dana White Predicts “Rampage” Jackson’s Return to UFC

Don’t cross the boss! If you fail to keep this simple rule in mind; things can turn the wrong way. Don’t believe it? Well, ask Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. The “retirement’ of this UFC superstar is still quite clouded though he tried to make it very clear in most of his interviews that he is “done with fighting” and has entered retirement. The feud between UFC president Dana White and the fighter is now revealed to the world and Dana reportedly is not at all willing to consider Jackson’s retirement plea. Moreover, White expects that he will return to the octagon soon.

Jackson recently had an embarrassing run as a mentor in “The Ultimate Fighter”, Season 10 as the rival coach Rashad Evans has grabbed seven victories out of the eight opening round matchups. After these consecutive defeats, Jackson decided to announce his retirement on 22nd September. But before he declared his retirement, he signed a contract to play the role of the B.A. Baracus in an upcoming Hollywood remake of the 1980s action-adventure series; a character first played by Mr. T. The filming of this role forced the company to pull down the highly anticipated and promoted fight between Evans and Jackson from the UFC 107. Dana’s public criticism reached its peak in August, prior to UFC 102 which prompted Jackson to walk away from the company completely. Things became worse as he stated the poor treatment that he received in UFC as one of the key reasons behind his retirement decision in a blog post.

But when Dana was asked whether there is any possibility of Jackson’s return in UFC, he bluntly said, “I’m sure we will… “Rampage is under contract with us, and this is where he makes his money.” Jackson on the other hand, made it clear in recent interviews that his retirement is nothing but a foregone conclusion. The critics, however, believe the issue will be son resolved as UFC officials always find a way out to smooth things over.
