Heavyweight boxing champion and failed MMA fighter, James Toney has welcomed the challenge from former 205 pound octagon champion, Vitor Belfort to meet him inside the ring, telling the Brazilian to make it happen.

FightHype.com, Toney said:

“Tell Vitor Belfort let’s make it happen. I like that because he ain’t no scared little bitch. He wants to come to my world and I’m more than willing to welcome him into my world.”

Earlier in the week, Belfort had tweeted:

“Dana, let me fight James Toney on a 6 round boxing match. I think I can catch him with my speed. Dana, this will be the first boxing match in UFC and I promise he will feel my power and we will show the world that a UFC fighter can do better.”

Belfort is considered to have some of, if not the, fastest hands in the mixed martial arts world and has actually had previous experience in the pro boxing ring in 2006, defeating his opponent in a first round TKO. Will Dana let this happen? Only time will tell..
