Johnson vs. Howard in UFC Fight Night 21 Main card
The UFC fans now can finally experience a match they wanted to see for quite a long time now. The long awaited bout between John Howard and Anthony Johnson is expected to take place at UFC Fight Night 21. MMA Spark has come to know from the sources close to the organization that the match might well take place on the main card of the March 21 event; the bout agreements, however, has not been signed yet. The venue of the event is yet not announced either; but it is anticipated to take place in Denver.
A Johnson vs. Howard match was first speculated when Howard made a Facebook entry recently; he, however, didn’t comment about the event where it may take place. These two were originally planned to meet each other at “The Ultimate Fighter 9” Finale in June 2009. But the bout never took place as Howard’s management team didn’t want to put the young fighter in such a tough test so early in his career. Since then, Johnson has verbally abused Howard many a times for that decision. He has faced a submission loss recently against Josh Koscheck in UFC 106. Howard, meanwhile, owns a six-fight win streak and has a perfect 3-0 record in UFC. Fans have seen the verbal debate, now if the match finally takes place, they will see who can walk the walk!
