Dana White has confirmed that long time UFC vet Keith Jardine has been cut by the company following his loss to Matt Hamill at The Ultimate Fighter Finale this past weekend. MMAFighting.com was first to report the news after speaking with the Jardine camp. Jardine first came to the UFC through The Ultimate Fighter’s second season. Since that time he has wins over Chuck Liddell, Forrest Griffin, and Brandon Vera to name a few No word on what’s next for The Dean Of Mean, but Strikeforce is likely.
Prior to his final bout, Jardine was aware his future could be on the line, but he couldn’t hold off Hamill in a closely fought match. Ironically, the bout was competitive enough to earn Jardine a $25,000 “Fight of the Night” bonus, but was not enough to save his job.
David Loiseau was also cut, again.
