XMMA 7 “Inferno” is ready to set the stage on fire in Montreal this week. There’s a lot of hype about the rules that have been laid for the event. The event entitled “Inferno” happens to be the first ever MMA event to be held in Quebec since the governmental agencies all oversee the rules of the combat sports in the province. These agencies also have informed the MMA promoters that it has to adhere by the rules that it had on the books since the early 90s, but the rules were never enforced before. These unrecognized rules as well as regulations are all referenced as the “mixed boxing,” and they absolutely prohibit both the strikes with elbow and knee. The rules also ask the referees to completely intervene every time a fighter is duly knocked down. MMA events that are held in the Canadian city of Quebec were all previously regulated absolutely under the unified rules meant for the sport and were recognized all throughout North America at the request of the promoter. The RACJ’s has come with a sudden change of heart and has brought on a part that is marked by an ill-fated event called the Titans Fighting. This event was a failure and ended in almost a riot confusion and in a way it had put all the MMA events that also includes a very popular UFC 97 event entitled “Redemption” on the 18th of April at the Bell Centre in danger.
