MMA Monday Morning Newsflash
What’s going on these days, you might ask? Well, Spike TV is getting into MMA and UFC fighting pretty hardcore. They are now offering preliminary matches to be viewed for a full hour before the official fights are aired on the channel. So yes, Spike TV is an official MMA junkie channel now. Let’s see, what else…
Oh, have you heard about Tim Boetsch? He is a new fighter in the world of UFC and is someone to look for, and he has recently signed a new UFC contract. With a record of 11-3, he is looked upon as a driving force in career upswing land.

Wait, there’s more: in the latest Tuf 11 fight, Court McGee won against Kris McCray. Court McGee came back against a life of drug addiction to become a great UFC fighter. Bravo!
And do you all think that Chuck Lidell should retire right now or not? He has already graced the record books with a 21-8 record, and many people revere him as one of the greatest light heavyweight fighters of all time. What is your opinion, do you think he should hang it up and get out of the MMA with his riches or do you think he should continue without retiring?
How about Court McGee? Do you think he has any place in MMA because of his drug and alcohol problems? Or do you think it’s more interesting to have an anarchistic type lifestyle fighter in the MMA? This kind of publicity brings headlines and it usually makes sports more interesting to watch. It’s always more fun to see fighters who exercise their freedoms of choice, there is more paying attention to the fight and less thinking about the person fighting.
Last but not least, Brock Lesner, a super powerhouse who has graced the UFC with stunning results, will be taking on Shane Carwin. Both Brock and Shane have been prized for their abilities and natural prowess as athletes. It’s difficult to know who’s going to win this one but it’s going to be a fight to the finish. The most impressive thing is that both Shane and Brock have builds that seem to work seamlessly with each other. Who is the stronger fighter? Watch and find out on Pay Per View. Hey, they are two of the most proficient athletes in the sport, it’s worth paying for!
