B.J. Penn recently pleaded the higher authorities to have an investigation and his attorney has gone ahead and submitted a formal request so that an investigation can be undertaken. This appeal has been done to the Nevada State Athletic Commission on the Tuesday. This investigation stems out and surrounds several allegations that were all made by Penn’s opponent, the UFC champ Georges St. Pierre. The controversy is that Pierre was allegedly illegally “well-greased up” right during the welterweight championship rematch between him and Penn. This bout took place on the last Saturday at the UFC 94 in a match simply entitled “St. Pierre vs. Penn” in the US city of Las Vegas. St. Pierre was severely worn down and then he actually brutalized BJ the UFC lightweight champion who was by then grounded. BJ was simply given a severe beating throughout all the four rounds just before Penn’s corner had to signal to an attending physician that BJ could no long carry on with the match. St. Pierre had been victorious against Penn through a close split decision previously and right in the first bout at the UFC 58 that took place about 3 years in the March of 2006.

According to UFC experts, Penn’s most critical as well as the most devastating offensives and defensive strategies like his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, equated to nothingness rendered as he was simply not able to control St. Pierre’s raging attack and eventually had to give in and lose out. Penn and his attorneys have all appealed for further investigation in order to nullify any controversy and according to them Penn was screwed by Pierre. Pierre on the other hand seems to be pretty ok and has gone on the record to say that he has not cheated BJ and at the same time he also hasn’t made any derogatory statements about BJ.
