Matt Serra and Matt Hughes have had a very significant match that was remembered by both experts as well as UFC fans and undoubtedly it has been one of the most memorable and one of the best UFC bouts. This match has also been touted as the longest hyped match of grudge for a while. There were a couple of cancellations of their matches and currently welterweights Matt Serra and Matt Hughes are both bucking up to face each other at UFC 98.

This match takes place on the 23rd of May in the Sin City of Las Vegas. These two have had coaching both in opposing teams on the show “The Ultimate Fighter 6” that took place in the late 2007 and both Matt Serra and Matt Hughes were up against each other for a match in the UFC 79 last December. The match had a different result altogether as Serra did withdrew from an injury on the back.

Serra later said that he ended fighting in a match in the month of April in a match that took place in Canada against Georges St. Pierre at the UFC 83. Later after that match he was supposed to fight Matt Hughes, but Hughes got injured but the match got postponed. However, both the Matt’s are simply dying to meet each other in the ring and fight. Serra also had to cancel a match up as he was going to be a dad in May and thus he couldn’t participate in the match.
