The comeback of Evans
During the Ultimate Fighting Champion season-ending show, a certain Rashad Evans has made a fine comeback. For the uninitiated Evans is an ex-winner of the show. Since he won the show he has been since then dubbed as The Ultimate Fighter. Rashad recently in a match scored a victory over Forrest Griffin who also happened to be an ex-cop with a TKO in the third round of the match. Evans has thus won UFC’s light heavyweight title. Reportedly, this match commenced the first title defense of Forrest Griffin. This was Griffin’s first title match after he became the champion after claiming the title at UFC 86 in July against a match with Quinton Jackson.
In an earlier match, Jackson won with a destructive left hook that had dropped Brazilian Wanderlei Silva. Silva also happened to be the ex PRIDE middleweight champion of the world. Thus Jackson successfully, avenged his previous couple of losses to Silva. Jackson had also said that moving the entire training camp from Las Vegas in USA to Wolf’s Lair Gym owned by Michael Bisping that is based in UK has been immensely advantageous. This decision also made him to be more focused.
