The UFC Awards Part 2
There are more awards waiting at the UFC’s First Year End Award Ceremony. The others are as follows:-
The Upset of the Year Award- is handed out to Forrest Griffin. There are certain people who might just not think this to be an upset, however there are a lot more who think it to be a major upset. Griffin according to UFC reports was the first ever Ultimate Fighter winner of the UFC. He also has a good career throughout the UFC. People however thought that he would simply lose out to “Rampage” Jackson in a match for the championship belt and to everyone’s surprise, Griffin won thus proving everyone wrong after he defeated the champ by the decision taken unanimously.
The Card of the Year Award- is the UFC 84. UFC 84 featured the likes of Wanderlei Silva, Sean Sherk, Lyoto Machida, Tito Ortiz, Keith Jardine, Thiago Silva and B.J. Penn. With such an explosive line up and with such heavy weight names, UFC 84 won the Card of the Year award hands down.
The Biggest Disappointment of the Year- has to be Kalib Starnes after he fought at UFC 83. Kalib had an average UFC career he however did get the chance to turn his fate at UFC 83. Previously he already had scored a win over Chris Leben and he also should have won over Nate Quarry. Everything went disastrous, after he kept on running around the match without even touching his opponent.
