Trump’s M1 Entertainment all for the MMA
Mixed Martial Arts abbreviated as the MMA is the fastest growing sport in the world and at the same time millionaire Donald Trump’s company the Affliction-M1 Entertainment is amongst the fastest growing organizations of MMA. In fact Trump’s entertainment company happens to be the fastest growing organization of the entire MMA universe. Affliction Entertainment has been able to retain the entire die-hard MMA fan base and at the same time has also succeeded in attracting a new as well as a broader audience.
The July of 2008 saw the rise of “Affliction Banned”. This was the company’s first promoted ‘card’ and featured the top 10 heavyweight MMA performers from around the world. This prestigious list of fighters included the likes of Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko who was considered to have grabbed the Numero Uno position in the MMA heavyweight for 5 years and Fedor met in a match with none other than Tim “The Maine-iac” Sylvia and thus Trump’s Affliction was turned into the UFC’s main competition. This particular event was a major hit and the 16,000 seat Honda Center arena was packed to the brim. Not only did the event reach out to more than 500,000 people on the pay-per- view and was also attended by celebrities that included the likes of N.Y. Giant Michael Strahan, thrash metal legends Megadeth, L.A.
Dodgers pitcher Brad Penny, TV as well as film actor Michael Madsen and wrestling superstars of the likes of Bill Goldberg, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, “The Undertaker” and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
