UFC Fight Night 20 Main Slot for Amir Sadollah vs. Brad Blackburn

UFC Fight Night 20 will book their main event for a welterweight match between Brad Blackburn and Amir Sadollah, the winner of “The Ultimate Fighter 7”. MMASpark has come to know from a reliable source that the match is sure to take place though it has not been signed yet. The UFC fight Night 20 is scheduled to take place on Januray 11th, 2010 at the Patriot Center. One more match, speculated earlier has been officially declared today between the newcomers Rory McDonald and Mike “Joker” Guymon. This match, however, will be added as an un-aired preliminary bout.

Sadollah has seen both the ups and downs in his career so far. He defeated C.B. Dollaway in the final and surprised many a people when he became the “TUF 8” winner in 2008. But his apparently bright career was disturbed with a number of injuries that sidelined him for almost 14 months. After battling his injuries, he returned to the ring in last August to taste a first round TKO defeat against Johny Hendricks at UFC 101. But he came back strongly in UFC 106 where he defeated Phil Baroni. Blackburn, on the other hand, has a clean UFC record before he meets Sadollah. This former IFL fighter is now holding a 5-0 winning record with victories against some tough kids like Ryo Chonan and Edgar Garcia. The fighter has recently signed a new four-fight deal with UFC and is brimming with confidence.
