Why there is a huge lack of respect for professional wrestlers in the MMA world?
The practice of MMA which is played out through UFC, Pro-Elite and Affliction is seriously the must violent of all mixed martial arts sports all across the world. MMA fighters not only need to out think there opponents but they also need to out fight them until there is only one man or woman left standing. Fighters that take part in the world on MMA will literally bleed, sweat and go through the most painful of all training camps and fighters in order to make a good living for themselves.
The thing that makes the world of mixed martial ars different from the world of boxing is that the MMA fighters have a very deep rooted respect for the rivals that they fight. These fighters truly understand what it takes to be able to take part in the world on MMA , They have to make all types of sacrifices including there bodies and their time and family in order to get ready for the big fight. .These warriors will come out with all kinds of bruises and broken bones after each and every fight. It is common knowledge that mixed martial arts fighting is to entertain a crowd and there is rarely bad blood between fighters. Additionally no fighter tries to hurt another fighter intentionally.
Now while there is a great spirit among the MMA fighters you will find that professional wrestlers catch a lot of slack. They often do not have to go through all the rigors that true mma fighters have had to go through and they are likely to get top fights much more rapidly just because the happen to have a wider know name. Professional wrestlers are also taught to be actors. Wrestlers are very used to cutting promos for the entertainment of the fans and they try to do the same within the MMA world. . It is really no shock at all that fighters such as Ken Shamrock are famous for cutting “heel” promos during MMA fights. There are many that do not truly understand the culture of mixed martial arts. As soon as the pro-wrestlers discover the culture they are already hated by the many MMA fans and media.
The reason that this is such a problem is that is that a huge number of professional wrestlers come into the sport with enormous egos. They are used to the big money life that wrestling has provided for them and they very often expect to get the same outstanding pay when they hit the MMA . Many expect that a big name is going to shoot the right to the top of whatever organization they choose to join.
So when you think about it a pro wrestler can be an excellent MMA fighter. They are very often tremendous athletes and are able to put up with a lot of wear and tear on their bodies and many have a fantastic work ethics. The mark of pre-wrestling is one that is extremely hard to shake and will travel with many wrestlers all through their mixed martial arts career no matter how talented that they are. MMA fans are much too unforgiving of the fake antics that can take place in the world of professional wrestling.
