Yves Jabouin Misses WEC 46 due to Injury

The irritating problem of injury is gradually taking over WEC as well. More and more superstars are getting injured here which is compelling the authorities to make changes in already announced bouts. The newest member in this list is Yves Jabouin. This Featherweight fighter is now forced to withdraw his name from an already scheduled WEC 46 bout due to an undisclosed injury. His opponent Mark Hominick is now running out of a contestant and the WEC authorities are trying to find him a suitable opponent for his preliminary card bout.
This injury issue came under spotlight today as Hominick announced it in Twitter. The MMASpark sources also have immediately confirmed the injury and postponement of the scheduled match. WEC 46 is going to take place in January 10th, 2010 at ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California. The main event of the show will be between WEC Lightweight Champion Jamie Varner vs. interim title-holder Benson Henderson. Hominick is a former UFC fighter and has faced two consecutive defeats recently by submission against Rani Yahya and Josh Grispi. He must be hoping to avoid his third consecutive one in WEC. But he has managed to balance his losses with a couple of wins over Ben Greer and Danny Martinez in a Canadian-based TKO organization. This may give him the required confidence before his WEC bout.
